Man Arrested After Refusing to Leave a Residence
A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department from Jan. 29–Jan. 31.
A 38-year-old man refused to leave the front door of a residence off Paseo de Colinas and Montemar after being denied the use of their phone. The man was arrested and released two days later. The incident took place on Mon., Jan. 30, at 11:37 p.m. on the 28200 block of Sorrento.
Here are more items from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department blotter. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel, unless otherwise noted. The following arrest information was supplied by the O.C. Sheriff’s Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Tuesday, Jan. 31:
Traffic Accident – Non Injury 1:02 p.m. Niguel Road/Crown Valley Parkway. A 43-year-old man was arrested, cited and released by 11:43 p.m.
Reckless Driving 4:05 p.m. Niguel Road/Highlands Avenue. Numerous vehicles were speeding and screeching their tires on the road.
Monday, Jan. 30:
Suspicious Person in Vehicle 12:34 p.m. 29700 block of Jarrett Circle. A black pick-up and a purple convert were parked on the street, both with individuals inside. The informant thought they were dealing drugs.
Disturbance-Family-Dispute 6:45 p.m. 23900 block of Catbird Court. A 17-year-old was heard screaming that he would beat someone and later ran out of the front door of his residence.
Sunday, Jan 29:
Burglary in Progress 2:56 a.m. 24900 block of Golden Vista. The informant’s husband heard a noise and went downstairs to check. The husband had not returned when she placed the call. She thinks he went into the garage.
Burglary Alarm- Audible 8:53 a.m. 31600 block of Sea Shadows Way. A 22-year-old male was arrested and is in custody.
Disturbance-Family-Dispute 4:43 p.m. Adelanto Drive/Via Portola. A man and a woman were verbally disturbing the peace inside a residence in the area.

Now this is where calling the police is a wast of time, sounds like big brothers in your house, we need the call of the day and I vote this one,

For the last couple of months, the blotter for Laguna Niguel has given little to no detail on the calls. Whoever is in charge of writing the blotter should check to see how Dana Point does theirs - lots of detail!
