The Sea Dragon Racing Vessel Departs For Japan

The Sea Dragon has a mission to document the concerns of plastic pollution one year after the Japanese Tsunami in the oceans.

The Jacobs family who said they were visiting friends in Laguna Niguel came to visit the Sea Dragon vessel before she departed from the Ocean Institute late Sunday afternoon, headed toward Japan.

"This is the most beautiful vessel I have ever been on," said David. "I'd love to take it all the way to Japan."

The 72-foot Sea Dragon's mission is to document the concerns of plastic pollution, one year after the Japanese Tsunami in the oceans.

Sea Skipper Dale Selvan was on board and granted me a live interview. See video in the story, too.
